Private IFS-informed breathwork, online
A way into the work.
A private, IFS-informed breathwork session with an experienced breathwork facilitator, held online.
Not everyone arrives ready for a group. Private breathwork is a doorway into the Break the Chain methodology — a single, held session where your own breath helps you identify what's running you, witness what was never seen, and begin to release it.

Identify. Witness. Release.
These are the three movements at the heart of Break the Chain. Breathwork is one of the most direct ways to feel them in your body, before you ever have to find the words.
Identify
The breath bypasses the story you've told yourself and goes straight to where the charge is actually held. You begin to feel what's running you, not just think about it.
Witness
What was never seen gets witnessed — by you, in real time, in a held space. The absence of a witness is its own wound; this is where that wound begins to close.
Release
When the charge moves, something that's been held for a long time is no longer being held. The space it leaves doesn't stay empty. It becomes available.
Who This Is For
This is for people who feel the pull of Break the Chain but aren't ready to step into a group container yet. Maybe you're carrying something that needs a trauma release breathwork session held privately. Maybe you don't have the shape of it yet. Maybe you need to feel it first, in your own body, before you can trust it.
It's also for people already in the work who want a private space to go deeper between sessions — to move something that doesn't belong in a group room, or to release a layer that's ready to go.
You don't need to know what you're carrying before you arrive. The breath finds it. The space holds it. You leave with more clarity than you walked in with.
What a Session Looks Like

The Inquiry
We begin with a conversation. Where you are, what feels heavy, what you're longing for. Your own words become the guidance for the breath.
The Breath
Rhythmic breathing, set to music, and breath holds, guided by what you shared. The holds create space to connect with the emotions and parts that come up.
The Integration
Time to land. To share what moved. To anchor what shifted, so it doesn't dissolve the moment you close your eyes.
The Breath: Rhythm, Holds and Space
The breath is at the heart of every session. It moves between rhythmic breathing, set to music, and breath holds, and I bring an IFS lens to all of it.
Rhythmic breathing
A steady rhythm, set to music, that brings your attention into the body, where a lot of what we carry is held, often before we have words for it.
Breath holds
The pauses, on both the inhale and the exhale. Holds can last up to three or four minutes, using small sips of air to stay in them longer. They create space within the session: room to feel what's there without rushing past it.
Meeting your parts
In that space, I guide you to connect with the parts we talked about at the start, and invite them in, so you can be with them and understand them.
You're always free to stop. If you do, we spend time understanding the part that needed to, because there's nothing wrong with ending a session in the middle. Read more: what are breath holds in breathwork? Or see what parts work feels like.
IFS-Informed Breathwork: Two Doors Into the Same Room
IFS — Internal Family Systems — works with the mind's own map of you: parts that protect, and a Self that can lead. Breathwork works with the body's. In a private session the two run together, and that combination is what makes the shift hold. What is IFS-informed breathwork?
Parts Show Up in the Breath
A tight chest, a shallow inhale, a pull to stop — these are rarely random. They're often a part doing its job: protecting something old. In a session, we let each one speak before we ask it to soften.
The Witness Meets the Self
IFS holds that beneath every part sits something that was never wounded — the Self, with its capacity to be present, curious and calm. The witness I hold in a breathwork session is that same presence, held for you until you can hold it for yourself.
Release, Without Bypass
Some breathwork pushes past resistance to force a release. This doesn't. A protector part is never overridden — it's met, thanked, and given a choice. What releases then is release the whole system agreed to.
Why a Private Session
Group work is powerful, but some things need to be held privately before they can be shared.
Maximum Safety
The entire space is held for you. If you need to slow down, we slow down.
Your Own Language
Hearing your own words reflected back during the breath creates a profound sense of being seen.
A Witness From the Start
What was never witnessed gets witnessed — privately, gently, at your pace.
Questions People Ask
What is IFS and how does it relate to breathwork?
IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a way of working with the mind as a system of parts — protectors, exiles, and a Self that can lead. Breathwork reaches the same places from the body's side. In a private session the two are combined: the breath surfaces what a part is holding, and the IFS lens gives it language and a safe way through.
Do I need to know anything about IFS before a session?
No. The session is guided entirely by your own words and breath. I bring the IFS lens; you don't need any prior knowledge, experience or vocabulary for it.
How long is a session and what does it cost?
Sessions run 90 minutes to two hours, including the opening conversation and time to land afterwards. A session is $200. You'll see it clearly before anything is confirmed, never after.
Are the sessions held online?
Yes. Every session is held online, one to one, so you can take part from wherever feels safest. Find somewhere private where you won't be interrupted, and use headphones if you can.
What are breath holds, and why are they used?
A breath hold is a pause in the breath. In my sessions we hold after both the inhale and the exhale, and a hold can last up to three or four minutes. To make it longer, we take small sips of air, exhale fully again, and keep holding. These pauses create space within the session, so you can notice what's there and connect with the emotions and parts that come up. I guide you into and out of each hold, and you can always stop.
How should I prepare?
Come as you are. Light food, water nearby, somewhere you won't be interrupted, and headphones if you can. Music is part of every session. Most people lie down, but you can sit if you prefer, as long as you're in a position you can't fall over from. You don't need to prepare anything to say — the inquiry at the start shapes the session.
